Update -- I have now added to my page my audio production, which has three tracks to it: voice, music, and, of course, crickets. Alas, for some reason I am presently obsessed with crickets; they chirp outside my bedroom all night and get into my brain while I sleep, sending subliminal messages of joy and heartbreak, both (I'm pretty sure -- it is just a theory). If anyone is a psych major, maybe you can analyze my problem and/or me. :-)
Anyway, it was quite a process, including recording the crickets myself, then copying the brief file (33 secs) several times with the final paste-in getting a fade-out touch, so as not to end abruptly. Plus I am proud that I made my music perfectly fit the length of my reading; I "frankensteined" the song (an instrumental) I was working with, copying out a segment of the music that I then pasted back in, in two places, which brought the song to exactly 3:02, as I needed. You will never hear the edits -- and that is some trick, with music.
Plus the song, itself, was originally recorded by just my digital camera on movie mode: it is my partner and I playing this old traditional tune that we arranged in our style. So I took the movie file, converted it to an MP3, got it into my editing program, and began chopping, not to mention "EQ'ing" it so that you could hear my bass, which really drops out of audibility at low volume level, without some help.
The photo now up on my page also came from video, taken just Saturday night out on my front deck, where we were playing, in front of a camcorder, shooting in low light. I took a screen shot from the video, processed it in my photo editing software, and sized it up just right.
Now it's your turn! Have fun. I did, even though this did take two or three hours, maybe more.
Once you can do so, add your own page, too! (First, I'll need to add you, which I can do after you make that request through the e-mail/invitation I sent out.)
